Fr. Phillip Chavez, SOLT, Leader in Men's Ministry

Fr. Philip Chavez, SOLT, Opus Bono Sacerdotii Advisor

Fr. Phillip Chavez is a priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, the same congregation of Fr. John Corapi. As the director of the Amator Institute, a men’s ministry based in south-central PA, he strives to awaken and strengthen the identity and mission of young men and fathers. He summons them to realize their natural longing to be a Leader, Protector, and Provider in their homes, churches, and community. And he calls men to assume their supernatural calling to emulate Christ as Priest, Prophet, and King in order to edify others and build up the Kingdom of God.

Fr. Chavez gives several talks and conferences each year on themes of Masculine Spirituality.Currently, he is focusing on parish workshops where he presents his signature themes of a man’s (1) Identity, (2) Mission, and (3) Journey. He also gives parish missions where he preaches at all weekend Masses on a theme related to men, such as fatherhood and a man’s spirituality; and he gives follow-up talks to the men of the parish, or even to couples.

Father Chavez is known across this country for his dynamic speaking, and for his ability to galvanize men. He continues to work closely with the Knights of Columbus who sponsor many of his appearances. St. Joseph’s Communications has published a number of his recordings.

Fr. Chavez seems to really connect with men. He is also
very committed to masculine spirituality.
It seems to me
he has emerged as the #1 speaker for men.”
